Century City Mall: A Century of Philippine Art Exhibit

Whenever I stare at a masterpiece, I dive into the artist’s soul. This goes the same for all types of art - like how designers do intricate elements in gowns, songwriters reveal emotions through lyrics, painters show whatever’s on their mind in a canvas, and dancers convey their messages with every beat and step. These people are amazing.

That’s why I enjoy going to concerts, watching Deo’s dance competitions (and cheer for him even from here to San Diego), and going to galleries and museums. I rarely have time for those now because of our busy schedule, so good thing Century City Mall held an exhibit featuring world-renowned Filipino artists who have painted and sculpted their names into our history.

Imagine looking at 100 art pieces and cultures in a single space. One night’s not enough to appreciate all those. Fortunately, they’ll have The Century of Philippine Art exhibit at the 4th level of Century City Mall until October 6, 2016! You should definitely catch this event!

By the way, these were curated over 100 years by Galeria de las Islas (Gallery of the Islands) at the Silahis Center in Intramuros - which is actually one of the oldest art galleries in Manila!

While we enjoyed the masterpieces, a fashion show of Filipina Gowns was also showcased. Take a look at these beautiful creations!

These were designed by Audrey Rose Albason, Jackie Bautista, Con Cordeta, Chino del Pilar, Erika Gana, Patrick Lazol, Me-an Marqueda, Edel Santiago, Kim Tiu Laurel and Miel Velayme.

My favorites ♥

Thank you, Century City Mall, for having us at the exhibit! We really enjoyed! :)
