Korean Skincare Haul (Nature Republic Uptown BGC)

My obsession for skincare is pretty obvious... lol! Writing (or talking) about it makes me feel really happy. It's probably one of the best things that you can invest in - your skin will thank you for it as you age. ;)

In case you haven't watched my skincare routine yet, here's a vlog episode of mine from November 2017 where I shared the products that I use - brands that are purely Korean and Japanese.

However, the changing seasons call for some adjustments in skin routines, so I've been switching up different products in the past weeks to fit my current needs. Today, I'll be sharing with you my discoveries from Nature Republic, so please keep reading! :)

Nature Republic, one of the leading cosmetic brands from South Korea, has opened up a new store in Uptown Mall BGC. They're known for producing quality beauty products that are derived from natural substances and essences.

Their most famous product: Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

This product gently moisturizes all skin types, including sensitive skin. It has proven to effectively soothe and refresh dry, inflamed, and sun burnt areas, too. You see this pretty much everywhere - even in bazaars or online stores. Be careful of fake ones, though! I highly encourage you to purchase only from Nature Republic stores in malls. Otherwise, you're risking your skin from getting further damage.

There are several ways to know if the product is fake or real. According to their team, one way is to check the recycle sign at the back. Fake ones have two (2) signs, the original has one (1).

I heard the fake aloe gel costs only Php100.00. The real one from Nature Republic costs Php245.00.

Anyway, here's what you can expect inside the newly-opened Nature Republic store:

From cleansers to sleeping packs, they have products for different skin concerns!

EXO Hand Cream (which y'all are crazy about!)

They also have foundations, color correcting creams, blushers, lip tints, brow pens, and more! In fairness with the foundation bottle - the frosted approach reminds me of Fenty Beauty! :p

Now for my haul - aka the products that I'm about to add in my skincare routine! So much love!

Sun Block with SPF35 (Php455.00)
The last step in morning skincare routines which we tend to forget sometimes. Sun block's super important to shield our skin from the harmful sun rays.

Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Mist (Php275.00)
Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel (Php245.00)
Of course! A Nature Republic trip isn't complete without these!

Iceland First Watery Essence (Php645.00)
To be applied after using toner to add another layer of hydration before creams or serums.

Pure Bud Relief Foam Cleanser (Php345.00)
Trying out this cleanser as soon as I finish up the one I'm currently using (on the vlog!)

Mild Cotton Wipes (Php66.00)
For my toner!

Face Masks (Php55.00 - Php75.00)
For that extra moisture and glow!

Clear Spot Patch (Php235.00)
Blackhead Clear Nose Pack (Php35.00)
Skin emergency savers!

Cream Concealer (Php395.00)
The only makeup product that I picked! Haha! Running out of concealers, perfect chance to finally try this one!

Try before you buy! Nature Republic has starter kits, too, in case you want to try out the products in small batches before purchasing the full-sized ones.

Fresh Green Tea Starter Kit
Toner, emulsion, and cream

Bee Venom Starter Kit
Cleansing foam, toner, emulsion

Collagen Dream Starter Kit
Skin booster, emulsion, essence, cream

Will definitely share my thoughts on these products! I might upload an updated skincare routine soon. Stay tuned for that!

Thanks so much and congratulations, Nature Republic! Kamsahamnida!

Kiehl's Loves the Philippines (Limited Edition Line!)

You probably know that I'm a huge skincare junkie. Despite the recent insane rain, I made sure not to miss the event of a well-loved luxury skincare brand, Kiehl's. Over the years, they've certainly established how effective their products are.

In lieu of the Philippine Independence Day, Kiehl's celebrated with the Filipinos by releasing their limited edition Kiehl's Loves the Philippines line. It was like an interactive fiesta during the launch since stations were themed after our local sights, sounds, and tastes. There's a photo opp corner featuring the Maskara Festival, a sorbetes stand for avocado-flavored ice cream, nipa hut, mini Banaue Rice Terraces, and so much more!

The best station for me was the Consultation Booth. Each of us had a one-on-one session with a dermatologist/representative. They helped us assess our skin, advised how to achieve our skin goals, and recommended the perfect products for our various needs.

Through this session, I've learned that I have normal to oily skin on my forehead, and normal to dry skin on my cheek area. I told the dermatologist that I wanted to improve my skin's texture and reduce pores. Since Kiehl's can surely address those, she gave me samples of her recommended products for my concerns - facial wash, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, and eye cream! I'm so happy I can try these out first before actually purchasing the full-sized ones! :)

You, too, can get your FREE consultation at any Kiehl's branches! Totally helpful - I tell you!

Going back to the Kiehl's Loves the Philippines line, their most popular and cult-favorite products were redesigned with illustrations of our country's culture. The lovely packaging was decorated by New York-based artist Ali Mac.

All About Intimate Care

My closest friends and loyal blog readers are aware that I'm really into intimate care. This is one health aspect that most women neglect; majority are unaware of the need for a separate intimate care regimen. Thought of sharing some tips to help you get started (or continue) with this!

Choose the right feminine wash.
Since you're about to use it daily, your feminine wash should be safe, mild, and have the right pH level.

I use either pH Care (read the benefits here) or Beach Born Witch Hazel Wash (shop: or at BeautyMNL).

Undergo professional brazilian/bikini waxing.
Removing hair "down there" can get painful at first, but it's very hygienic to do so. Make sure to ONLY go to licensed and trusted waxing salons for this sensitive treatment.

My personal favorite is Hey Sugar since they always give me a pleasant brazilian waxing experience. I have super low pain tolerance, so I can attest to how nice Hey Sugar's services are. By under 20 minutes, I'm all good!

I also love Hey Sugar because they only use organic and all-natural products. Certified no toxins - from their specially-formulated ethyl alcohol made from pure sugar cane, followed by cornstarch, fresh wax made from 100% sugar, then finished off with virgin coconut oil.

Wear high quality, well-fitting, and comfortable underwear.
There are several brands that offer good undies, and Wacoal is surely one of them. They recently launched Wacoal Mood in the Philippines, their new brand created to target millennials.

Visited their branch at UP Town Center a few weeks back and got surprised with their lovely sets - especially the Travel Bra collection, which features non-wire, comfy to wear, and ROLLABLE bras (without sacrificing its shape!)

Another nice thing about Wacoal Mood is that you can get measured so you'd know your exact size! Wrong size can hurt your breasts and give you bad mood!

Wacoal Mood is available at UP Town Center, Robinsons Place Manila, Venice Grand Canal, and SM Seaside Cebu.

That's it! Hope this helps you care for your intimates! xx
