One of the things that I’ve learned from living in the “slasher generation” is to never lose time for your loved ones. We tend to be so busy that we forget to spend fulfilling moments together. No matter how full your plate is for the day, make sure to squeeze in a couple of hours with the people you value the most. Nothing beats spending quality time with this core. After all, they’re the ones you’re striving for, right?

I’ve had my fair share of hell days for academics and career. Think: finishing tasks in the wee hours of the morning, waking up extra early and function during the day with zero sleep. I barely had time for my parents and skipped most dinner dates with my friends because of all my deliverables. It was so unhealthy and I felt empty and uninspired. And that’s never the ideal situation.
Stuck? A little pause won’t hurt. Sometimes, all you need is time with the person/people you love. Grab the chance to sit down and share a meal together. Or if you’re still too busy to handle that, call or chat with them for a few minutes. No excuses. If you want to, there’s always a way. ♥

You've probably heard this before, but placing it here as a gentle reminder: Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life. Have a beautiful week ahead!
