Akira - The Art of Sushi & Teppanyaki

I'm a certified foodie and a big fan of Japanese cuisines! So I felt really excited when I got invited to an intimate dinner at Akira - The Art of Sushi and Teppanyaki located at Shangri-La's East Wing last Saturday. They set my standards high for teppanyaki because of the amazing experience they gave us that night! :)

Akira's actually a part of the SumoSam, Mr. Kurosawa and Banzai team. But what sets this restaurant apart from the others is that they're focusing on teppanyaki and how they prepare their dishes at a teppan table by different chefs.

When you go Jap, you must not miss getting sushi rolls! We were served with Akira California Rolls, which were so big and generous, it made me feel bloated after one bite. :p

We also enjoyed sipping through our warm Miso Soup while watching the chef prepare our teppanyaki!

Their Kani Pomelo Salad was yummy, too, and it was mixed with my favorite dressing!

Chef in action! :D I like that he played with his cooking tools ala rituals and made art with our food. Nice presentation!

Adorable heart-shaped egg and fried rice!!! ❤

Gahhh look at those mouthwatering and tasty Japanese Wagyu chunks! We requested for medium rare and they're heavenly!!!

Drooling over their Tamago Sashimi

Rettsu taberu! Let's eat!!!

My tummy's full and satisfied with the mixed veggies, chicken, shrimp and primes (Japanese Wagyu A3)!

Akira - The Art of Sushi & Teppanyaki is located at the 5F East Wing, Shangri-La Plaza.
