It's amazing to see Dee Jae Pa'Este looking so effortless while he do his "magic". Merely staring at him paint (using acrylics and spray cans) will make you think that what he does is easy, but actually it isn't!
While waiting for Dee Jae to polish his third and last wall, the SM team along with Dominique Tiu and I grabbed the opportunity to take photos with the two other walls he did weeks ago.
If I'm not mistaken, this was his first wall graffiti for Sky Dome. There were various representations for the three walls namely land, air and water. So hard to choose a favorite among them!! They're all definitely beautiful and meaningful! ♥
According to Dee Jae, his works of art reflect a mixture of old world aesthetics and new world consciousness. Notice the bird in the second wall? Aside from being part of the element "air", the bird also embodies the world of social media (e.g. Twitter). Perhaps this symbol can serve as a reminder for all of us to be responsible in using our social networking sites. :)
If given the chance, Dee Jae mentioned that he wants to paint more wall arts around the metro, not only to show his talent but also to spread his sensible messages for the society.
Hands down for Dee Jae Pa'Este! :)
Make sure to visit SM City North EDSA one of these days and see the three walls painted by Dee Jae Pa'Este himself! Don't forget to take your #ootd's there, too, and tag @smnorthedsa on Instagram!
Aaand of course, choose from the wide selection of restaurants at SM The Block and dine there with your family/friends! ♥
Thank you so much to SM City North EDSA for this one-of-a-kind experience! xx
