Max Factor Makeover Workshop and Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick

Remember my post about Max Factor and renowned makeup artist Sir Bobby Carlos months ago? After that makeover session, I started to love Max Factor even more. I use their 3-in-1 All Day Flawless Foundation (Facefinity line) everyday and can't help but rave about the product to my friends. Super love the coverage and the flawless look it gives me!! ♥ Di rin siya heavy sa face so bongga talaga 'to.

Anyway, after the Giordano x Monsters Inc. event yesterday at Trinoma (I'll be blogging about that next), big sis Ana and I rushed to SM Aura Premier for another makeup affair with Max Factor Philippines. I know I've told you countless times before that I'm not a pro when it comes to makeup, so I really felt excited for this 'cause it wasn't just a mere makeup 101 lecture session. This time, it was a workshop and a debut of Max Factor's newest product called the Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick! :)

This intimate event was held at the very cozy SM Prestige Lounge of SM Aura Premier.

Here's Ms. Monica of Max Factor Philippines talking more about the Giant Pen Stick. According to her, this newfangled makeup innovation is sure to give us a bolder and more defined colour for our lips. No need to use a separate lip liner 'cause this pen stick has a sculpted tip for definition. You'll also notice that in 7 days after using this product, your lips are extra soft and smooth. All-in-one! ♥

Mirror selfie din pag may time! :p

Each of us were given complimentary drinks (syempre coffee kami ni Ana over iced tea, hehe!). Brush sets and makeup products were also provided so we can follow Sir Bobby and try out the makeup techniques to ourselves.

Sir Bobby demonstrated makeup techniques appropriate for everyday ganaps. His tips were superb, practical and perfect for women on the go.

Hi big sis!! :)

After Sir Bobby's demo, Ms. Monica arrived with a tray of Giant Pen Sticks!! Yay! We were all given the chance to choose a shade that we wanted. Can you guess my pick? :)

Oha!!! Bet niyo yang before and after namin ni Ana?? :)

Fun as always!! Thank you so much, Sir Bobby! We hope to see you again soon! ♥

Thank you so much to Ms. Monica, Max Factor Philippines and my big sis Ana for this amazing workshop! :)

Make sure to visit Max Factor and try out their Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick! You can choose from these shades: Princess Rose, Vibrant Pink, Subtle Coral, Designer Bloom, Passionate Red and Hot Chocolate! ♥

Last Tuesday was a bit hectic for me. I'm super glad, though, that I was able to accomplish everything on my agenda, not to mention that my earliest (and most important) appointment was scheduled at 9:00AM. You should be proud of me!! :p My spirit remained high 'til evening and I don't know how I managed to do that. I guess the feeling's really different when you're filled with good vibes. Di mo mararamdaman yung pagod! :) And since I had to jump from different places for meetings and events, I figured it was perfect to wear jeans so I can move around quickly and comfortably. After all, my pairs (especially the denims) have been hiding in my closet ever since summer began. They rightfully deserve an exposure now!

This ensemble reminds me of my college days! I've mentioned a million times before that our university has a very strict dress code. So for my Saturday classes or occasions wherein we're allowed to wear civilian, I go for my favorite and no-fail buttondown + jeans combo. Sleek and stylish!

My obsession with the black and white trend goes on forever, so you can just imagine my delight when I got this top from Persunmall! *happy dance*

Fashion Gifts for Men

Looking for ideas for a gift for the fashion loving man in your life? Here is some inspiration from pieces that have went from the Spring/Summer 2013 catwalks and straight into our favourite designer fashion shops such as Boudi, from London stocking favourites such as Antony Morato, Kasil Workshop Jeans and Immortal Couture.

This year we are leaving behind the trusty messenger bag and looking forward to a little bit of experimentation in the form of a backpack, or even a holdall. The catwalks were overloaded with the backpack which has now been given a formal twist through the use of leather in black, tan and browns. The leather backpack is a must have piece! Not only do they scream stylish they have plenty of room for laptops and all other essentials! For those who prefer to keep it casual, backpacks inspired by the grunge and denim trends such as a camouflage print on a canvas material may be an option worth considering!

Designer Hoodies

A hoody is generally seen as an essential wardrobe piece, especially for those lazy weekends and as such every man should have at least one designer hoody! With such a huge variation of styles and hundreds of designer hoodies available once the selection has been narrowed down it will be easy to find that perfect hoody! For summer lighter materials are usually available with knitted hoodies becoming popular when we head towards the winter months.

Regardless of current trends most belts, like cufflinks can be seen as a timeless investment that will play a prominent part in a guy’s wardrobe for years to come by keeping simple with a traditional black or brown leather and straight lined buckle. If you do want something that displays personality belts with skull shaped buckles and other such shapes are easily found in collections from designers such as Robins Jeans.

T Shirts could be considered to be one of the easiest fashion items to buy a friend or family member as style and preferences when it comes to these wardrobe essentials is easily defined, whether it is fun cartoon t-shirts, slogans or polo shirts!

Before you embark on your hunt for the perfect gift try and start with a few pieces of information from the intended recipient such as size and their favourite designer or clothing brand. You may find this points you straight into the right direction.

Know How To Live with Crumpler Philippines

When it comes to highly functional and durable bags, people trust only a few brands and Crumpler will always be one of those. Back in my active modelling days, I've encountered a lot of photographers who use Crumpler bags to store their cameras, laptops and other gears for shoots. Even my good friend Charls (who takes most of my outfit photos here in my blog, also an amazing photographer) owns one!! There you'll see how much these professionals believe in the brand. They won't support Crumpler for nothing. ;)

I was able to prove them right yesterday during the flagship store launch of Crumpler. The event took place at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (right in front of Crumpler) located at the newest wing of Shangri-La Mall.

Aside from the opening of the flagship store, the brand introduced to us the new Outpost Project series of bags plus another two new bag models called the Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash. More about those later!

Here's the very handsome Drew Arellano as the event's host and on the lower right's one of the co-founders of Crumpler, Mr. Dave Roper.

Started in 1992, Crumpler was the product of a young man named Stu Crumpler. Stu was an avid beer drinker and transporting cans of beer using his bike was slowly becoming a heavy chore. With that, he decided to create his first Crumpler bag, which was made primarily as his beer container. The said "beer" bag was highly durable and caught the attention of a bike messenger company owned by Will Miller and Dave Roper. They thought of re-engineering the bag and making it into a backpack for their bike messengers. And obviously, the idea was a complete success.

Still not convinced about the durability of their bags? Then check out the two photos above! A short game was held wherein two teams had to pack everything they can inside the Crumpler luggage, zip and close it in 1 minute. Team with the heaviest luggage weight wins! Mama Earth was in the first team and their luggage weighed 13.1kg. The other team, though, gained 13.4kg! Close fight!! Hahaha! But okay, here's the thing. Pack lang sila ng pack, not even minding to fold the clothes or fix the stuff they placed inside. The luggage became so bulky, and they had to exert bonggang force para lang magsara. Pero super tibay ng Crumpler, staying true with their line "Torture Tested Luggage". ;)

Feasted on these meals the entire night. Each of us were served with ginormous chickens!! Still so full as I type! :p

Anymoo, we headed to the store afterwards to check out the collections of Crumpler.

The Crumpler range has gone beyond bags for cycling to include professional camera/photography bags, laptop bags, luggages, casual bags and even school bags.

The brand has also grown a global cult following among adventurers, photographers, riders, designers, makers, thinkers and doers.

Anyway, I've mentioned earlier that Crumpler also launched two new bag models. Both Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash are made from double-layer, tough-but-tender water resistant Field Twill. The Ludicrous Debacle is a classic cut-shoulder bag featuring an internal iPad-sized pocket and a clothes-friendly edgeless shoulder strap. The Proud Stash (sample's the blue backpack in the photo above), on the other hand, is a backpack unlike any other. Not only does Proud Stash has a tough and water-resistant exterior, but it also features wide and well-padded harness which distributes the weight of the bag evenly. They're available in black, lime, tank green, coral, brick, petrol blue and sky blue.

Don't you just love these collections? The bags are practical, functional, comfortable to use and still very stylish! Know how to live! :)

Always a good time with Paul and Mama Earth
