What Keeps Me Motivated

Let me share something to you.

When I was a kid, every time I get good grades and other achievements, my parents would always give me a reward. Parang one star is equal to one gift ang ganap. New shoes, clothes, toys or even those simple happy meals from McDonald's - no matter how big or small, expensive or affordable the items are, they are still rewards. And the fact that my parents appreciate my humble accomplishments is what keeps me motivated in the things I do, whether they're related academically or not. That happens til now, actually.

With that certain deed of my parents, perhaps you're thinking that whenever I don't reach their expectations, they'd get crazy mad at me. But no, they don't even show disappointment (even if I know they are, at times) nor angriness on me. Instead, they comfort me for my downfalls and give me encouragement. They always, ALWAYS, have the right/perfect words to say.

I'm beyond blessed and happy to have them as my parents, and I wouldn't trade them for any other Moms and Dads in the world.

I was about to write the reason why I had that sudden realization but just decided not to 'cause I might get really emotional! Haha! Even if I've already recovered from that "issue" (hint: academic shizz), it still haunts me sometimes and I can't help but feel sad and guilty that I lost one of the greatest gifts that I can give my parents as I graduate. Haha maybe you have a clearer view of my "issue" now? :p

Okayyy I'm ranting too much already. Haha! Outfitels na nga lang!

On me: blue sequined corset from Forever 21 | pleated skirt from Forever 21 | Sophisticat shoes | yellow satchel from Queen Street Bags

Wore this, by the way, to the Midafternoon in Paris BeauTEA event of L'Oreal last March 2 (Saturday) at Sweet Bella Cafe in Greenbelt. It was really fun and I learned a lot from one of my favorite makeup brands! :)

The necklace perfectly matched my dainty ensemble. :)

I remember big sis Ana was doing this while we were having a MANagon kulitan session with Christine at her booth's backstage during the Super Sale Bazaar. Di namin namalayan tapos na niya agad 'to in a few minutes. Kaaliw! It's really beautiful.

Forever 21 pleated skirt
Lakas maka-carefree commercial! I love it! ♥

Tried to do walking shots but...

Kaguley!! I can't seem to perfect it. I don't know why but the "bungisngis" in me comes out every single step. *face palm*

hugs from someone who treats you like a lil' sister! i'm sure your parents are proud of you, ups or downs. theyre wired for that. i can also recount so many times i let my mom down-- that's why i've made it my mission to make up for all of that and make her happy. your parents know you're awesome. just stay true to yourself and you'll always make them proud!
