Shirt + Shorts Combo

I really can't remember the last time I wore a shirt-shorts combination. Even before I started blogging, I was already used to dress up in layers or put some accents in my outfit to make the look more interesting. Random, but I suddenly missed the feeling of sporting such kind of combo so over the past weekend, I decided to take out the basics from my closet and wear them altogether.

Easy, relaxed and simple - yes! I can play and goof around wearing this the entire day! But who said you can't look great in this wardrobe staple? Keri din no!

"Salute the Ocean" top from Giordano Philippines. As I've mentioned earlier, I suddenly missed sporting a shirt-shorts combo and this tee never failed me! It's so cute and the fit's perfect, it made me feel like I made the right decision to try out wearing tees again ♥ Thank you so much to Giordano and the awesome Havas PR Agatep team!

And, oh! The Great Giordano Anniversary Sale (November 28 to December 2) is finally here! They're offering 30% off on all their items, including new arrivals, in all Giordano stores nationwide. Don't miss it!! :)

One of my top picks from Miss Sixty! ♥ They have this in other colors, too, so check out their branches near you!

Nude classics from Sueno de Espadrilles

You can get 50% off on all of their items at St. James Bazaar in Ayala Alabang, happening this November 30 to December 2! For every sale of classic espadrilles (just like the one I'm wearing here), Php 200.00 will be donated to the QCPA Development Foundation, Inc. Let's shop for hope and support the underprivileged kids!

Coffee, anyone? xx

Oxygen Pop of Colors + Holiday Gift Sets 2012

My blogger friends and I bonded over sweet treats and fun games last Saturday afternoon (November 24) for Oxygen Clothing's Pop Of Colors exclusive event and launch of their holiday collections.

Pretty DJ and host Julz Savard

A mini fashion show was held, too, featuring the gorgeous clothes of Oxygen. I really love their latest collection! I suggest that you visit their stores to see for yourselves. ♥

Be Thankful

I came across this inspiring poem from an unknown author sometime last week and I'd love to share it with you. :)

Thanks for not having
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would be there be to look forward to?

Thanks for lacking knowledge
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Thanks for difficult times
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Thanks for limitations
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Thanks for challenges
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Thanks for mistakes made
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Thanks for exhaustion
Be thankful when you're tired an weary,
because it means you've made the effort.

Thanks for setbacks
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Thanks for troubles
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Felt so refreshed and enlivened after reading through all those lines! We may be encountering a lot of dilemmas and frustrations every day, but really, we still have a lot of things to be thankful for. Tulad ngayon, just the fact that you're alive, you're with your loved ones, you might've eaten your favorite meals, you're reading this blog, and the list goes on, di lahat ng tao na-achieve yan. Why not shed a little of your time thanking God for all the blessings and good vibes you received today? Kahit gaano pa yan ka-simple, kahit gaano pa yan kaliit.

I've always admired Habi Footwear's stylish, hippie, comfortable and eco-friendly designs! Their shoes are made of woven cloth and recycled truck tires, all created with love by the mothers of Kawan ni Sto. Nino Community.

Let's try to make a move kaya? Think of someone who has made a big difference in your life and whom you've never really properly thanked. Maybe now's the time to express your appreciation for him/her! Again, kahit gaano pa yan ka-simple o kaliit, basta from the heart, keri! :)

Sueno de Espadrilles Manila x Dance of Hope

My dearest Mom is a huge fan of espadrilles. I remember she told me before that she used to wear espadrilles way back in college. And when the trend came back and pleased our generation, Mom was so excited and immediately bought pairs in different colors! Her love for espadrilles never really faded, that's for sure (and that's how I became familiarized with footwear). :p So when I got invited by Ms. Martine of Dainty Mom for the Sueno de Espadrilles event, I said yes right away! Thanks, Ms. Martine! :)

The Sueno de Espadrilles team treated us lunch at Borough in Podium last November 16. While munching on the delicious meals in Borough, they briefed us about the brand and their collaboration with Quezon City Performing Arts (QCPA) Dance of Hope campaign. More about that later on!

Borough, I'll come back to you soon! You had me at your milk and cookies!! ♥

Anyway, we proceeded to the Sueno de Espadrilles boutique at Podium after eating. I got so overwhelmed with their colorful, stylish and modern espadrilles!

Sueno de Espadrilles is actually a Spanish footwear brand and is the only full-fledged all-espadrilles concept store in the Philippines.

Honorable Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte (head of the QCPA Development Foundation, Inc. and Sueno de Espadrilles' new brand ambassador)

The brand has teamed up with QCPA Development Foundation, Inc. (a home for the under privileged but intelligent and talented children of Quezon City) for the Dance of Hope campaign. The scholars of QCPA are being trained in several kinds of dances like ballet, modern dance, jazz and hip-hop, and they have competed outside of our country for a lot of times already. These kids are sure to continuously bring pride to the Philippines!

Note that for every classic or lace-up espadrilles you buy, Php 100.00 goes to the foundation. Perhaps it's time to pay it forward, guys! Aside from being able to purchase and own fashionable espadrilles, you're helping the QCPA kids/scholars as well.

Their footwear collections are undoubtedly beautiful! Choose from these:

I got myself a pair of nude classic espadrilles! Yay! Thanks a lot, SdE Manila! ♥

Thank you so much to the Sueno de Espadrilles team and Ms. Martine for having us!! :)
